Notes & Reviews:

Howard Shelley and the Ulster Orchestra return for a second volume in Hyperion's new Classical Piano Concerto series. Daniel Steibelt - the man who dared to challenge Beethoven and lost -ruled the keyboards of northern Europe for a quarter of a century. His concertos were as sensationally popular as the composer was ostentatious. Howard Shelley, doing double duty as pianist and conductor, leads compelling performances of Piano Concertos Nos.3, 5 and 7.

Gramophone Magazine, January 2016
The disc as a whole is worth hearing for Shelley, but otherwise I'd suggest that Steibelt is a niche interest.
