Notes & Reviews:

The work of composer Rain Worthington has been performed in venues from private lofts to concert halls across Spain, India, Iceland, and Brazil. Chamber music magazine has praised her for taking "ideas of American musical style to a new place- like a walk in a familiar, yet very different park.. And [her music] isn't afraid to come up with its own startling conclusions." Based in New York, Worthington writes music with textural and lyrical colors and tones that she uses to captivate the listener. Dream Vapors is her first full-length solo album with Navona, and features some of her orchestral works. Music journalist Bob Briggs writes that Worthington "writes music which speaks to the senses, is packed with real emotion and, most important of all in contemporary music, really communicates." Ensembles on this album include the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, and Russian Philharmonic Orchestra.
