Notes & Reviews:

World premiere recording of two cantatas by Johann Friedrich Doles (student of Johann Sebastian Bach and later his second successor as Cantor at St. Thomas). Recorded in Freiberg Cathedral, where Doles worked as Music Director for 12 years, all three cantatas need an obligatory organ; in this recording the Great Silbermann Organ of Freiberg Cathedral is played by Johannes Unger, tenth successor of Dietrich Buxtehude at St. Mary's, Lübeck.

Notes & Reviews:

Recording information: Dom St. Marien Freiberg (09/26/2014-09/29/2014).
