Notes & Reviews:
BBC Music Magazine, August 2016
Bacchetti is a spritied if idiosyncratic interpreter of Bach...Bacchetti's direction is clearly articulated and elegantly phrased. His textures are lucid with restrained application of the sustaining pedal, and his tempos are irreproachable...there is much enjoyable music-making here.
Musical Opinion, July/September 2016
Must be counted among the most recommendable yet issued. Directing from the keyboard, Bacchetti is in complete command, and the excellent Rome-based orchestra is on top form. The recording balance is uniformly first-rate.
MusicWeb International, February 2016
These are refreshing performances that very much avoid the darker 'fatness' you can find with some piano recordings. Bacchetti is a strong enough player to carry six concertos at a sitting and still leave you wanting more.
The Arts Desk, 30th July 2016
These are supremely enjoyable performances. Andrea Bacchetti has an ear for the bigger picture. Bach's elaborate noodlings can sound laborious in some hands, but Bacchetti's lightness is a thing to treasure...Bach has rarely sounded so approachable, and these performances are very well recorded.
