Notes & Reviews:

This new release by The King's Singers features twelve works by Palestrina. The works on this recording are gorgeous polyphonic choral settings of the "Canticum Canticorum," also known as "The Song of Songs." This is the first album from The King's Singers featuring the group's newest tenor, Julian Gregory.

The Guardian, 6th March 2016
The King's Singers maintain an admirably cool approach to these 16th-century sizzlers.

Gramophone Magazine, June 2016
The King's Singers' sweetness of tone seems perfectly to march the sense of the text. The decision to break up the cycle allows them to vary the scoring from one madrigal to the next; at times both countertenors take the top line, which yields a novel sonority.
