Notes & Reviews:

Alongside the likes of Ligeti, Boulez, and Stockhausen, Friedrich Cerha developed his own colorful orchestral style and became one of the foremost figures of the European avant-garde. Cerha celebrates his ninetieth birthday in 2016, and this release shows that his music is still fascinating with its large scale microtonalities and its delicate melodies. The SWR Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden und Freiburg and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Koln perform these contemporary works.
