In honor of Maurice Ravel's 135th birthday, this release includes the French composer's symphonic works. Ravel's music has been loved by critics and listeners alike, as his passion for creating something beautiful shines through. Ravel's artistic credo was "Music, I insist, must in spite of everything be beautiful." The USSR State Academic Symphony Orchestra is the performing ensemble on these pieces, which were recorded in 1975 under the baton of conductor Evgeny Svetlanov.
