Marianna Prjevalskaya Plays Rachmaninoff is the latest release from pianist Marianna Prjevalskaya, gold medal winner of the 2013 Cincinnati World Piano Competition. The album features Variations on Themes by Chopin and Corelli and was recorded in the Robert J. Werner Recital Hall at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. With this recording, Prjevalskaya breathes new life into the rarely performed variations, which she believes exemplify "Rachmaninoff's finest writing, where compositional skills give birth to a world of endless pianistic possibilities." This is Prjevalskaya's second solo album and her debut release with Fanfare Cincinnati.
