One of heavy metal's great lost bands resurfaces in this follow-up to its previous best-of collection, FIRST DAZE HERE. Based in Washington, D.C., Pentagram existed in various forms during the 1970s and '80s, never achieving anything but local recognition. This collection of demo and live recordings captures the band at its rawest, sounding surprisingly contemporary on cuts like "Wheel of Fortune," while "Show 'Em How" is a stunning display of unique blues power. The band displays its pre-Led Zeppelin roots with a cover of the Yardbirds' "Little Games," showing on "Yes I Do" that it also had pop smarts to spare, while "Virgin Death" is a masterly demonstration of its full-on metal skills.
