The internationally renowned bassoonist Dag Jensen displays his enormous stylistic breadth, ranging from late romanticism to the avant-garde with Asian influences and then on to jazz. Dag Jensen not only is at home in the music of the twentieth century but also has left a considerable mark on it for decades. He premiered Olav Berg's 'Vertigo', and two compositions by Berg and Manfred Schoof's impromptus were first heard on CD on this recording. This recording features modern classics as well as young composers from France and scene newcomers.
