This double-disc set is an accompanying release to the double-DVD set of the same name. Chronicling the three concerts Joe Jackson gave German television between 1980 and 1983, this captures several different phases in the ever-shifting Jackson's career, including the punky beginning, the ska-inflected "Beat Crazy," and the sophisticated pop of Night and Day, and throughout Jackson and his band are in top form. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
