Album Notes

Liner Note Author: Diz Heller.

Best of Scottish Pipes and Drums, a 14-track compilation of traditional, pipe and drum music from Arc Music Productions, opens with the genre's calling card, "Amazing Grace." What follows is a solid set of highland standards like "Drum Salute/Lord Byron/Banks of Allan Water/Heroes of Vittoria" and "Raigmore/Mac an Irish/The Braes of Mar/The Hen and the Turkey," performed by some of the region's best pipe bands. ~ James Christopher Monger
