Trä (Swedish for "wood") found Hedningarna updating their production and sensibility to reflect more contemporary tastes, featuring some edgier, more rock-influenced sounds. The album became their most successful yet, but a slight slickness to the production renders the folk material a shade less immediate than its predecessor, Kaksi!. Still, the more aggressive cuts pack a punch. ~ Steve Huey
