Stanley Turrentine: Let It Go

Album Notes

Recorded on April 6 & 15, 1966.

LET IT GO sees two masters of the soul-jazz idiom grooving together in a relaxed context. At the time of this recording in 1966, saxophonist Stanley Turrentine and organist Shirley Scott weren't only musical partners but also married, and both veterans of the soul-jazz scene. LET IT GO is a relatively mellow set, switching between blues-charged ballads and simmering mid-tempo cookers.
