This LP is very typical of the 25 put out by Harrison in the late-'70s. All of the 14 performances are quite obscure and, although a few names (such as cornetist Johnny Wiggs, the Dorsey Brothers and trombonist Glenn Miller) make brief appearances, even early jazz experts will be unfamiliar with most of the selections. The music, dance band-oriented performances by Ellis Stratakos's Hotel Jung Orchestra, Carl Fenton, Doc Daugherty, Kay Kyser (a rare early jazz side), The Broadway Broadcasters, Billy Hays, Smith Ballew And The New Yorkers, are dated but enjoyable. ~ Scott Yanow
