Notes & Reviews:

This record is a fantastic find as it includes the world premiere recording of an incredible major work for piano and orchestra by Franz Liszt, his Grande Fantaisie Symphonique. This piece has long been unknown to performers and recording artists alike, as it remained unpublished until 1981. This recording was made possible through generous support from The East-West Cultural Exchange, The Garber Foundation USA, and The Shevchenko Association. This recording was made in 1990 and features the late Ukrainian pianist Daria Telizyn. "Telizyn made the piano sing, even in powerful tone clusters, but especially in more gentle, single-line melodies, soulful and zealous." (Albany Times Union)
