A concert pianist of such technique and enthusiasm Julius Katchen's dazzling career was cut short by cancer at 42. Remembered as one of the great pianists of the 20th Century, August 15, 2016 marks the 90th year since his birth. Decca proudly presents US-born Katchen's COMPLETE RECORDINGS in a limited edition, 35-CD set which includes world premiere recordings of the Brahms Clarinet Sonatas with Thea King and Franck's Prélude, Choral et Fugue along with three albums of new-to-CD recordings.
