Notes & Reviews:
In 1726, Bach entered a new period of creative innovation. Setting aside the chorus, he wrote works that present a dialogue between solo arias and finely sculpted instrumental parts. The three cantatas presented here by Bernarda Fink, accompanied by the Freiburger Barockorchester and Petra Müllejans, represent the culmination of this development. Originally released in 2009, this acclaimed recording is now available at mid-price as part of the hmGold series.
