Notes & Reviews:

'Cantata Memoria' commemorates through music and poetry the Aberfan tragedy of October 21, 1966, when 116 children and 28 adults tragically lost their lives as a spoil tip enveloped Plant Glas school and some houses in Aberfan, South Wales. Welsh composer Karl Jenkins wrote this this large-scale choral work - in English, Welsh and Latin - with Welsh poet Mererid Hopwood. The recording features Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel as the soloist.
