In 2015, Wies de Boev because the first double bassist to win Germany's National Music Competition, one of the world's most renowned instrumental competitions. Boev played with passion and it can be heard for the first time here, on this album. With his piano partner Tomoko Takahashi, Boev performs literature by Gliere, Bottesini Piazzolla and several others.
