Notes & Reviews:

The campaign to colonize Ethiopia, the alliance with Germany, and then the war, had limited the presence of international ensembles in Italy. During this trying time, Quartetto Italiano found solace in each other and performing music. The group fromed in 1945 and are still particularly noted for their historic performances of Mozart, Dvorak and Ravel.
