Notes & Reviews:

Behzad Ranjbaran, professor of composition at the Juilliard School, has arranged for violin the Cello Sonata of Chopin, and it here receives its world premiere recording. Catherine Manoukian is a brilliant young violinist whose star is rapidly rising. These transcriptions for violin and piano work so well that the fact that they were transcribed at all is transparent.
