Notes & Reviews:

From Sir Thomas's last year of conducting before his death in 1961 comes this live concert recording from November 8, 1959. This disc features Beecham's very last performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. Three encores followed, and Beecham said a few words in between each. Those short speeches are included here. Wonderful sound. A must for the Beechamite.
