Notes & Reviews:

Yehudi Menuhin - ennobled in 1993 - was the most brilliant and celebrated violinist of his generation. Born of Russian parents in New York on April 22, 1916, Menuhin made an inauspicious musical start in life. When he was only seven a startled audience heard him play a Mendelssohn concerto with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. At 10 it was Carnegie Hall.
