Notes & Reviews:

Alexander Agricola was so famous in his lifetime that the Roayl Courts of Europe vied for his services, and when he did try to escape from the French court to Italy, an envoy was sent to force his return. Agricola's love-songs, in the secular style of the period, offer attractive music in the vivid and varied colors provided by authentic instruments of the time. This is music of delicate textures, with sweet, hollow-toned recorders.
