Notes & Reviews:

Adolf Fredrik Lindblad was a progressive composer working in Sweden in the first half of the 19th century. Composing in a style similar to his friend, Mendelssohn, he wrote in most genres including opera and symphonic works, though it was by his songs that he became best known. His two symphonies are charming and often very happy scores, their melodic content attractive and so beautifully orchestrated.
