Notes & Reviews:

With a safe degree of certainty, one could predict that any disc pairing pianists Peter Serkin and Andras Schiff in not-quite-so-common works by Mozart, Reger and Busoni, would be a great success. Well it isn't: it's two discs! This is not an easy listen, but perseverance is infinately rewarding. These two great pianists, both at what may prove to be the peak of their careers, offer us a document of pianistic artistry that will bear exploration countless times.
