Notes & Reviews:
A pupil of Artur Schnabel and Wanda Landowska, Clifford Curzon was deeply in touch with the musical legacy of the works he performed. In these two performances from the early '70s, Curzon is clearly very connected to these two works, which remained a staple in the artists repertoire throughout his career. It is interesting to note the appearance of Pierre Boulez as the conductor on this disc.
