Notes & Reviews:

Ferrari (1925-2003) studied with Messiaen and Honegger and became one of the founding members of the electronic studio Groupe de Recherches Musicales in 1959, along with Pierre Schaeffer and François-Bernard Mache. Through his incorporation of ambient sounds, Ferrari became one of the pioneering and most creative electroacoustic music composers. The works on this disc show a combination of his musique concrete and instrumental styles. Both works are collaborations with the noted French author Colette Fellous.
