Notes & Reviews:

A Decca "sound spectacular": Eight additional pairs of timpanists and four extra groups of brass add to the hellfire in Berlioz's take on Judgment Day. The recording was captured in the resplendant acoustics of Montreal's Saint Jerome Church, and follows Dutoit's very successful recordings of "Les Troyens" and "La Damnation de Faust". It is also the first recording of the Requiem in nearly a decade!
