Notes & Reviews:

Gabriel Faure worked for many years as a music teacher at the Paris Conservatoire, where his pupils included Ravel, Enescu and Nadia Boulanger. As Director of the Conservatoire, this quiet man was responsible for the changes that took French music into the next century. His compositions for piano were marked with considerable charm and refinement. His best-known work in this genre, the "Dolly Suite", has the uncomplicated and delightful character of music for children.
