A lovely selection of Frank Bridge's chamber works for piano trio, coupled with the rarely recorded Miniatures, published in three sets of three, dating from 1909, 1911 and 1915. They were a product of Bridge's days as violist with the English String Quartet, and were written for students of quartet members. The Times, UK remarked of the Bernard Roberts Piano Trio: "First-class musicians and wonderful music-making".
