Notes & Reviews:

Ah! The sound of this amazing choir! Especially as recorded by Chandos, and even more welcome in this rare and beautiful repertoire by Edvard Grieg and Niels Wilhelm Gade. Two of the Grieg works are written for solo baritone with choral accompaniment; the remaining works are for a cappella chorus, with the exception of the brief "Benedictus and Amen" by Gade which employs an organ accompaniment. This is another great album by the wonderful Danish National Radio Choir.
