Notes & Reviews:
For its filming of "The Battle of the Bulge", Warner Brothers hired a cast of international stars and the most renowned film composer of the times: Benjamin Frankel. Frankel's music was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in Hollywood in 1966. The jury was right to single out this score, for it is indeed more than just a background soundtrack. It is a magnificent music-drama in its own right; a work of great symphonic intensity. This is the premiere recording of the complete score.
