Notes & Reviews:

Arnold Schoenberg is best known for the twelve tone technique he developed which changed the course of composition. However, in his younger years, he produced works in the style of the Romantic era. "Transfigured Night", an explicit picture of the illicit love we find in Wagner's opera, Tristan und Isolde is one such work. Later in life, he returned to his tonal roots with the Chamber Symphony and the "Accompaniment to a Cinematographic Scene."
