Notes & Reviews:

This CD forms part of a complete cycle of Kraus's Symphonies on Naxos. Volume 1 (NXS 8.553734) was awarded a prestigious Cannes Classical Award in January 1999 by a jury consisting of the world's leading classical music journalists. This new CD is Volume Three in the series, and is another resounding success. Kraus is an almost identical contemporary of Mozart, and this fact has certainly not aided the popularity of his music. He was a wonderful composer. Listen and discover!
