Notes & Reviews:

Julius Rontgen wrote close to 650 works in every conceivable genre available to him during his lifetime (1855-1932). From symphonic music to solo concertos, chamber music for ensembles as well as film scores, Rontgen's versatility was legend. This, the first such album devoted entirely to his piano works, comes from his early years. The influences of both Schumann and Brahms are very apparent in the many beautiful passages contained on this generously filled disc. Recommended. -H&B
