Notes & Reviews:

Replete with ornamentation, lush passages and complicated chordal structures, Liszt's piano music requires incredible skill. This volume includes transcriptions of some of Schubert's most famous songs, including "Die Forelle", "Erlkonig" and what is perhaps his most beloved and well-known piece, "Ave Maria". Valerie Tryon, the pianist on this collection, was recently called a "smart and sensitive" pianist by the New York Times.
