Notes & Reviews:

This disc is a knock-out in every way. Uncommon, gorgeous music, splendidly performed and recorded. Chandos has coupled some of the Russian composer Liadov's most popular works with his less well-known repertoire. It includes the popular Baba-Yaga, Op. 56 and Kikimora, Op. 63 together with works derived from the influence of folk-song. It is performed by the highly respected partnership of Vassily Sinaisky and the BBC Philharmonic. Urgently recommended! This is a great disc!
