Notes & Reviews:

Canadian composer Harry Somers, who passed away in 1999, was a musical voice well known to the Canadian music scene, but virtually unknown outside Canada. This is the third disc from Centrediscs devoted to the composer's works. This volume focuses on Somers' works for chorus with instruments and/or piano. Most of these scores are sacred compositions, and most are very beautiful. Everything is performed with manifest love by Toronto's Elmer Iseler Singers.
