Notes & Reviews:

With the exception of 'Bailecito', composed in 1931, the pieces on this disc date from this third period of writing. They range from the 'In the Altiplano' Prelude of 1932 to the 'Little Road to Bethlehem' of 1947. All of these works are redolent of the music and character of his native Argentina, and at the same time fully expoit the potential of the piano with writing of considerable technical sophistictation.
