Notes & Reviews:

This month [CPO has] brought together the complete symphonies of the youngest of Bach's sons from five single CDs from this edition to form a new boxed set. The Hanover Band under Anthony Halstead, have been able to show this Bach son in his proper light - since he has always been portrayed too smoothly and too superficially on the basis of only a small fraction of his total oeuvre.
