This album takes its name from the Previn composition included here, "Tango Song and Dance", which Anne-Sophie Mutter performs with Andre Previn at the piano. The work was premiered at the Lucerne Festival in 2001, and it serves as an ear-catching introduction to a virtuoso hit list which includes Brahms' 3 Hungarian Dances, a suite from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, three pieces by Fritz Kreisler, and the Violin Sonata No. 1 in A, Op. 13 by Gabriel Faure.
