Notes & Reviews:

"David Baker is a known quantity, a prolific composer of virtuoso instrumental works in several idioms from classical to jazz. William Neil, by comparison, is a mystery. The notes don't tell us a thing about his background, though one may conclude that he, like Baker, comes from Chicago. It's a curious blend of stubborn phrases that almost recall Frank Zappa's seemingly deliberate inexpressivity, with passages of pure color and beautiful sounds, ending with a jazzy finale." - ARG
