Notes & Reviews:

"These recordings were made in 1965, when Wild was 49. His tempos are a trifle quicker than the norm, but nowhere do you sense these formidable works are difficult for him. His balance of excitement and control, and, indeed, his gorgeous sound, are a constant marvel. As recorded here, the piano is rather mellow, with a rich bass. Chandos's sound is a little less clear than the best today, and string sound can be wiry, but it is still very good." - Althouse, ARG
