Notes & Reviews:

Vladimir Ashkenazy's name is closely identified with the music of Alexander Scriabin. He is one of the few international pianists to record the complete cycle of piano sonatas and he also recorded highly-praised performances of the 'Piano Concerto' and 'Pormetheus - The Poem of Fire' with Lorin Maazel during the 1970s.
