The aptly named Classical Heartbreakers collects two discs' worth of moving compositions that have also been featured in renowned films, including Chopin's "Nocturne in C sharp minor," which appeared in The Pianist; Mascagni's "Intermezzo (Cavalleria Rusticana)," which was featured in Raging Bull; and Bach's "Goldberg Variations -- Aria," a musical highlight from The English Patient. Other highlights include John Williams' theme from Schindler's List; Offenbach's "Barcarolle (Les Contes d'Hoffmann)," which appeared in Life Is Beautiful; and "Heart Asks Pleasure First/The Promise" from Michael Nyman's score for The Piano. Gershwin, Verdi, and Fauré are some of the other composers featured on this collection, which should please fans of films and classical music alike. ~ Heather Phares
