Notes & Reviews:

Composer and guitarist Mauro Giulani arrived in Vienna in 1806 and became a musical sensation. His ability to compose for and play the guitar inspired several other composers, like Franz Schubert, to compose music for the instrument. The popularity of the guitar combined with the small amount of original music allowed for arrangements of music for other forces to be played on the guitar.
