Notes & Reviews:

Much of Chopin's later work was for solo piano, composed in forms that he adapted and developed, such as the Nocturne, the Waltz, the Polish Mazurka and the Polonaise. While beautifully expressive melodies are to be found in abundance on this second volume of Piano Favourites, works such as the 'Grande Valse', 'Barcarolle', 'Scherzo No. 2' and the 'Fantasie' demonstrate that Chopin possessed a unique and often complex sense of form and color.
