Notes & Reviews:

Sir Peter Moores has long wanted to record Verdi's 'A Masked Ball', and has been biding his time until the right cast was available. Susan Patterson, he knew, would be perfect for the role of Amelia. Currently making a big splash in the US, her roles with Licia Albenese, Toscanini's favorite soprano.
